The Myth of Age Limitations in Learning New Art Skills

Pablo Picasso once said, Painting is just another way of keeping a diary.”  This quotation is particularly of value because it admits that art knows few limitations. Artists and teachers often proclaim the same, especially when students ask if it’s too late, because of age, to become skilled in an artistic skill like painting or drawing.  For example, many adults dream of taking private art classes in Los Angeles but worry that they are too old to learn how to draw or paint.  As Picasso states, anybody can be an artist so long as they have an experience to record and a will to try.  And as far as age goes, it’s only a number.

Learning art skills such as painting and drawing can lead to new career paths for adults of any age.  For example, with new creative skills, art students can pursue careers as designers, teachers, artists, architects, engineers, and more.  Of course, many of these careers require additional study beyond the arts.  However, skills in creativity and technique will make anybody in these fields better at the work they set out to do.  Even for pleasure, studying art can be very rewarding.

Founded in 2000 by an award-winning local artist named Daniel Raminfard, The Raminfard School of Arts is open to students of all age groups and levels.  The school offers classes in the use of oils, acrylics, charcoal, pencil, and pastels. The school proudly provides in-person or online private art classes in Beverly Hills as well as group painting classes in Los Angeles for local residents and visitors.

The school promotes student work on its website, https://raminfardart.com, so aspiring artists can review the capabilities of the school’s current students.  To learn more, or to register for classes, visit the website today!
